Say their names (2020)

“Say Their Names” is a meditation on Black lives lost to racism, white supremacy, and police brutality.

The original piece was approximately 9 x 12 inches, composed with a black 005 Sakura Pigma Micron ink pen on watercolor paper. To complete this piece, the text in negative space was projected onto the paper, traced in pencil, and then the marks were carefully erased afterward.
